JOHN 6:60-71
People come and go. Jesus, from our text retained a smaller crowd of followers, after others left Him – true believers and one betrayer.
The true believers were those who followed Him whether the good times continued or the tough times of persecution came.
Those who walked away went – to where? I cannot say. But they were no more comfortable with staying with Jesus. They ran after what may soon end and would leave them empty, hungering for more.
Those who stayed experienced testing and persecution. But they also experienced more miracles, the redemption of their souls, Pentecost, etc.
Jesus is not after having a crowd. We have to choose to stay or go.
