MATTHEW 18:1–10
A schoolteacher once noticed a quiet child who was often overlooked by classmates. Instead of ignoring him, she gave him attention and encouragement, helping him realise that he mattered. In the same way, God never overlooks those whom others consider insignificant.
In Matthew 18:1–10, Jesus teaches that greatness in God’s kingdom begins with humility. He warns His followers not to despise little ones, explaining that their angels continually behold the Father’s face. This shows God’s deep concern for the vulnerable and seemingly insignificant.
We must therefore treat every person with dignity, especially children, the weak and those easily overlooked. Let us reject pride, practise humility, and become people through whom others experience God’s care and acceptance.
🙏 May the Lord fill your heart with humility, surround you with His care, and help you value everyone He places in your path. May His presence guide and protect you today and always. Amen.
