LUKE 10:38-42
Our lives and the world we live in can be very busy. Everyone is constantly moving, it seems. We may easily settle for mediocrity or exhaust ourselves working so hard with everything going on around us.
However, God’s plan for us goes beyond mere survival or exhaustion!
Over the past twenty years, there has been an increase in busyness of 10% on average. Undoubtedly, we are busier now than we ever were.
Are you engulfed in the craziness of a hectic life? Pause and reflect on Jesus’ remarks in Luke 10:41-42.
Observe Jesus’ kind words. Instead of criticising Martha for trying to be a gracious host, He reminded her of her priorities. She spent so much time doing good and as a result she neglected to take a seat at Jesus’ feet.
Let us keep enjoying time with our Saviour as we strive to be productive.
🙏Lord, thank You for Mary and Martha who show us that sometimes sitting at Your feet is the most important thing we can do. Help us not to become too busy.
