DRESSED BY THE SON FOR THE FATHER

JUDE 20-25

It is never easy to get children to dress up for special events. They may appear to be without parents after being all freshened up. They may start running around with their shirts half-untucked, spectacles crooked, shoes dented, and biscuit crumbs all over their outfits.

I am not sure if we all look like that at times. We have a tendency to go off and behave in ways that make us appear as if we do not belong to God after Christ has clothed us in His righteousness. Jude’s assurance that Jesus will keep us from stumbling and present us in good condition (Jude 24) instills hope in us.

How do we avoid appearing to be bereft of a heavenly Father? He will safeguard us from falling as we become more submitted to His Spirit and His instructions.

What a gift that Jesus offers to take our stumbling, untidy lives and present us to the Father spotless! May we become more and more like the King’s children as we reflect His loving care and concern.

We must depend on the Son in order to reflect the Father’s presence.

🙏🏼Thank You Lord, for the privilege of being clothed in Your glorious righteousness, as well as the assurance that You will keep us from stumbling and present us unblemished before our Father!
