ZEPHANIAH 1:1-9
A traveller once ignored a road sign warning of a collapsed bridge ahead. Confident that he knew better, he continued his journey, only to find the warning was true. By then, it was too late to avoid disaster. Wise people pay attention to warnings before consequences arrive.
In Zephaniah 1:1-9, God spoke through the prophet to warn Judah of coming judgement. The nation had turned from God to idols and adopted sinful practices. Despite God’s patience, their persistent rebellion would bring punishment upon the land.
Many today treat sin lightly and ignore God’s call to repentance. Yet His warnings are acts of mercy, urging us to return to Him. As believers, we must reject every form of evil, remain faithful to God’s word, and encourage others to do the same. Obedience today prevents regret tomorrow.
