ISAIAH 25:1–8
After being turned down, a man who was trying to enlist in the army became quite disheartened. A war began several weeks later. He felt appreciative after realising that he might have perished on the battlefield.
There may be times when we get disappointed because God has not answered us or intervened in our challenges.
In Isaiah 25, the prophet celebrated God’s faithfulness in the midst of challenges.
Hearing God say no can be difficult, and it is much more difficult to comprehend when we are praying for something positive, like someone to be saved from a disaster. At that point, we must cling to the knowledge of God’s good purposes. We can continue to believe in His kindness, constancy, and love even if we do not understand why.
