DANIEL 10:1–14
My daughter sent a text message to a friend, hoping for a quick answer. After waiting for a reply, she became frustrated and worried. Eventually, a reply came, and she was relieved. Her friend was completing the necessary details to answer the question.
Daniel, an Old Testament prophet, sought God through prayer. After three weeks, an angel assured him that his prayers had been heard. The angel had been fighting on Daniel’s behalf, and God was working on his behalf during the 21-day period between his first prayer and the angel’s arrival.
God’s assurance of hearing our prayers can lead to anxiety when His response is not immediate, but Daniel’s experience demonstrates His ongoing work on behalf of those He loves.
