PSALM 103:1-5
A former classmate of mine just shared a photo from our time in secondary school on social media. Many of our contemporaries responded to it. Even though I enjoyed thinking back on those times, I also noticed how quickly I had forgotten them and moved on.
It is easy to forget places, persons, and happenings that have been significant to us as we journey through life. Time goes by, memories of yesterday disappear, and we get preoccupied with the issues of the present. We risk forgetting how kind God has been to us at this point. In Psalm 103:1-2, David remembered God’s goodness and emphasised it.
When life’s difficulties encircle us, we need to remember God’s goodness more than ever. It is crucial to keep in mind all that He has done for us when we are feeling helpless and abandoned. We are encouraged to trust Him now and in the future as a result of remembering.
🙏Lord, as we count our many blessings, we are amazed at all You have done.
