Growing up, I watched my friend’s father rise early each morning to read his Bible at the kitchen table. He seldom preached to his children, yet his steady faith shaped their lives deeply. Years later, my friend said, “Dad’s quiet devotion made following Jesus feel natural.”
In 2 Timothy 1:5–14, Paul reminds Timothy that his faith was first seen in his grandmother Lois and his mother Eunice. Their sincere devotion prepared Timothy to serve God boldly.
Today, like my friend’s father, many believers can influence others simply through consistent, loving faith. God calls us to do the same—living sincerely, encouraging the next generation, and trusting the Spirit to strengthen and guide us.
