2 CORINTHIANS 5:1–7
A young man once lived in a temporary house that was small and uncomfortable. Whenever he felt discouraged, his father reminded him that a permanent home was being prepared for the family. Knowing that his present dwelling was temporary gave him hope to endure its limitations.
In 2 Corinthians 5:1–7, Paul describes our earthly bodies as temporary “tents” that will one day give way to an eternal dwelling from God. He explains that while we groan under the burdens of our present condition, we look forward to being clothed with immortality. God has given us the Holy Spirit as a guarantee of this future reality. Therefore, Paul concludes that we live by faith, not by sight.
Whatever difficulties you face today, remember that they are not permanent. Trust God’s promise, walk by faith and let the hope of eternity strengthen you to remain faithful.
🙏 May the Lord strengthen your faith and keep your eyes fixed on His eternal promise. Amen.
