1 KINGS 6:14–28
A young woman once entered a beautifully restored church after years away and was moved to tears of joy. Its beauty reminded her of the greater beauty found in God’s presence.
In 1 Kings 6:14–28, Solomon completed the inner sanctuary of the temple with cedar, gold and beautiful workmanship. The splendour of God’s dwelling place reflected His glory and gave worshippers reason to rejoice. David longed to behold the Lord’s beauty in His house (Psalm 27:4).
We too can experience lasting joy by seeking God daily through worship, Scripture, prayer, holiness and a life kept pure for Him. As we draw closer to God, His presence becomes our source of true and lasting joy.
