1 KINGS 4:20–34
A traveller once ran out of food on a long journey, but unexpectedly met someone who shared enough to sustain him. Sometimes, God meets our needs through unexpected channels. 1 Kings 4:20–34 reminds us that His provision is greater than our needs.
The passage describes Israel enjoying abundant food, peace and security under Solomon. Though the demands of the palace were enormous, God provided through the resources available to the kingdom. Solomon also received wisdom and understanding from God.
Whatever you face today, remember that God knows your needs and His resources never run dry. Trust Him rather than allowing fear to control you. He may provide through expected or unexpected means, but He remains your dependable source.
