GENESIS 6:17–22
In 1952, the Great Smog of London covered the city with thick polluted air for several days, causing thousands of deaths and severe illness. Many ignored safety warnings to stay indoors, while those who followed instructions were better protected. Noah showed similar trust in God. Though rain and floods were unknown in his time, he obeyed God faithfully and built the ark despite ridicule.
Genesis 6:17–22 reveals God’s judgment upon a sinful world and His mercy towards Noah’s family. God gave Noah specific instructions, and Noah obeyed completely. His obedience reflected deep faith in God’s word.
God still calls His people to obey Him even when His instructions seem difficult or unpopular. True faith trusts God completely and remains steadfast despite opposition.
