GENESIS 6:8–16
In a coastal town, a civil engineer named Daniel kept receiving repeated flood alerts, but most residents ignored them and continued life as normal. Genesis 6:8–16 describes a similar world filled with violence, yet Noah found favour with God and received clear instructions to build an ark for deliverance.
The passage shows God commanding Noah to construct the ark according to precise dimensions as a refuge from coming judgment. Though the instruction seemed unusual and the future uncertain, Noah obeyed fully, and the ark became a place of safety for his family and creation.
Believers today are called to trust God’s word even when it contradicts popular opinion. Like Noah, we must act in obedience, prepare spiritually, and build our lives on God’s instructions.
