GENESIS 4:6-13
After the 1994 Rwandan genocide, many survivors chose forgiveness over revenge through faith in Christ. Their stories remind us that mercy can heal even the deepest wounds. Cain became jealous because God accepted Abel’s sacrifice but rejected his own. Envy filled Cain’s heart and led him to murder his brother. Abel’s blood cried out for justice, and Cain received severe punishment for his sin.
The Bible later reveals a greater message through Jesus Christ. Unlike Abel’s blood that cried for vengeance, Christ’s blood speaks forgiveness, redemption, and freedom from sin. Through His sacrifice, sinners can receive mercy and reconciliation with God.
As believers, we must reject envy, hatred, and revenge. Christ calls us to live in forgiveness, love, and holiness.
🙏 May Christ’s redeeming blood cleanse your heart, fill you with mercy, and keep you walking in holiness always.
