HOPE BEYOND THE ASHES

LUKE 24:1–12

In 1666, much of London was destroyed by fire. The started in a bakery on Pudding Lane and burned for four days, destroying about 80% of the city, including over 13,000 houses and 87 churches. While the destruction was massive, the city’s recovery was remarkable. From the ashes rose a stronger city. What seemed like total loss became a story of renewal and hope. Likewise, the empty tomb speaks of life after despair and victory after loss.

In Luke 24:1–12, devoted women came to Jesus’ tomb, only to find it empty. Angels declared He had risen, just as He foretold. Though the disciples doubted, Peter ran to see and marvelled. The resurrection confirmed Christ’s triumph over sin and death.

Today, this truth calls us to live without fear. When life feels broken, remember that God brings new beginnings. Believe in Christ’s resurrection power, trust His promises, and walk daily in hope, knowing that no situation is beyond His redeeming grace.

🙏 May the Risen Lord Jesus fill your heart with hope and unwavering faith. Amen.
