1 TIMOTHY 6:6–11
A banker once kept a cracked teacup on his desk to remember his modest beginnings. Its flaw reminded him that wealth is fragile, but character endures.
Paul told Timothy in 1 Timothy 6:6–11 that godliness with contentment is a great gain. Writing to a young pastor in prosperous Ephesus, he warns that the love of money leads to ruin and sorrow. True riches are not found in possessions but in devotion to God.
In our present society, ambition and comparison easily master our hearts. Careers, homes, and savings can quietly replace trust in God. When we seek Him first, generosity grows and anxiety loosens. Contentment in Christ guards our faith and makes us truly wealthy.
🙏 May the Lord Jesus make you rich in Him. Amen.
