JOHN 15:9–17
At school, having a close friend makes everything easier—someone to walk with, share lunch, and talk to when things feel tough. Their presence gives us courage, comfort, and joy.
Jesus offers us that kind of friendship. He calls us His friends, loves us deeply, and even gave His life for us (John 15:9–13). He shares His heart with us and invites us to be part of His mission (vv. 15–16).
Life is like a school—we need Jesus as our friend to walk with us, even through the hardest lessons.
Just as we grow closer to friends by spending time with them and listening, our friendship with Jesus deepens when we spend time with Him, love others, and obey His commands.
