HABAKKUK 3:16–19
During the Nigeria-Biafra War, families faced hunger, loss, and unimaginable hardship. Food was scarce, homes were destroyed, and fear was everywhere. This reflects what Habakkuk experienced when he foresaw a time of famine and devastation (Habakkuk 3:17).
Despite the pain and uncertainty, Habakkuk chose to trust God. He did not rely on his circumstances but found strength and hope in God’s faithfulness. Like those who endured the war with courage, holding on to hope for peace and restoration, Habakkuk rejoiced in God’s unchanging presence.
In times of deep struggle, our joy comes not from our situation but from trusting a God who never abandons us, no matter how hard the season.
