1 SAMUEL 16:1–7
Amina was a shy girl from a dusty town in northern Ghana. She loved fixing broken radios and often helped her uncle at his small repair shop. While others pursued more “important” careers, Amina quietly nurtured her curiosity. People overlooked her, assuming she had little to offer. But God had a plan. Years later, she became a top electrical engineer, mentoring girls across Africa.
Like Amina, David was not the obvious choice. When Samuel came to anoint Israel’s next king, even David’s father didn’t consider him. But God reminded Samuel: “The Lord looks at the heart.”
God still works in unexpected ways. He sees beyond titles and appearances. He sees your heart, your faith, and your quiet diligence—and He has a purpose for you.
