1 CORINTHIANS 13; 1 CORINTHIANS 14:1
Love is a sacrificial act of giving one’s time, money, or energy without expecting anything in return. Today’s reading delves into a deeper form of love, a heart-wrenched devotion to God, beyond the traditional definition of love as sacrificial giving.
Love is not just about making the world go round, but also about making us vulnerable. Apostle Paul emphasises the importance of love, stating that it is the greatest of faith, hope, and love.
To follow the way of love, consider living out the characteristics listed in 1 Corinthians 13:4–7, such as showing patience, kindness, respect, and looking out for others’ interests. By turning to God and Jesus, we gain a deeper understanding of true love and find the strength to love others like God loves us.
🙏 Father, help us to love others the way Jesus showed us so that the whole world will know we are Your children.
