REVELATION 2:12–17
Rose, who called herself a worrier, learned to break free from her restrictive label after her child’s accident. She met with friends weekly to pray and ask God for healing. As she turned her fears into prayer, she realised she was becoming a prayer warrior. Her identity in Christ deepened through the struggle with heartache. She decided to call herself a warrior.
Jesus promises to give a white stone with a new name to the faithful in His letter to the church at Pergamum. This stone signifies our freedom in Christ, similar to the white stone used in court for not-guilty verdicts and the black stone for guilty verdicts. It also grants entrance to banquets and heavenly feasts. Jesus’s death brings us freedom, new life, and a new name, symbolising the heavenly feast.
What new name do you believe God might bestow upon you?
🙏May we embrace our new selves and spread Your love and joy. Let us see how You transformed us into new beings, in Jesus’ name.
