1 THESSALONIANS 4:1-12; HEBREWS 3:13
Richard, exhausted and ready to quit, sought encouragement from his friend Kevin during a rock climbing session. Kevin urged him on, stating he had come too far to quit. Richard, dangling in midair, continued trying, and miraculously, he was able to reconnect with the rock and complete the climb thanks to his friend’s support.
In the early church, Jesus’ followers encouraged each other to follow their Lord. Despite a culture filled with immorality, they urged each other to live pure lives. They encouraged each other daily, interceding for the body, helping people stay connected to the church, and increasing their love (1 Thessalonians 4:10).
Jesus’ death and resurrection have united believers, granting us the privilege to encourage others to trust and obey Him through God’s enablement.
