PSALM 118:19-29
Dr. Virginia Connally, the first female physician in Abilene, Texas, faced opposition and criticism in 1940. In 2012, at the age of 100, she received the Texas Medical Association’s Distinguished Service Award. Connally has dedicated herself to spreading the gospel through medical mission trips and serving God and others.
Dr. Connally’s pastor, Phil Christopher, praised her for her daily living and reminisced about her letter, where she questioned if each tour, trip, or effort would be her last and ultimate endeavour, stating that only God knows.
Dr. Connally emphasised the importance of living a life of faith without seeking results. She knew the importance of doing what God had planted in her heart.
Let us celebrate God’s creation today and use every opportunity to serve others in His name.
