THE ETERNAL WORD OF GOD

PSALM 119:89-96

During World War II, Warsaw, Poland, was devastated by aerial bombings. Despite the destruction, the Polish headquarters for the British and Foreign Bible Society remained standing, with legible words on a surviving wall stating that “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away” (Matt. 24:35).

Jesus’ statement about the “end of the age” encouraged His disciples, but it also gives us courage in our current situation. Standing in the rubble of our dreams, we can find confidence in God’s indestructible character, sovereignty, and promises.

We might define tragic events in terms of hope or despair as we go through them. We can safely choose hope since God will not let us face our situations alone. His eternal Word guarantees His unwavering devotion to us.

🙏 Thank You, Lord, for the gift of Your Word.
