PSALM 34:15-22
A close friend lost her husband to a heart attack. As a counsellor who provided solace for others, she now faced the prospect of returning home to an empty house after forty years of marriage.
She told us she would choose to “wear the label widow proudly,” believing it was the label God had given her. She leaned on the One who is close to the brokenhearted.
Our heavenly Father suffered a profound separation from His own. Jesus cried out because He was forsaken but endured the pain of the cross out of love for us.
He is aware! We obtain the solace we require because, according to Psalm 34:18, the Lord is close to the brokenhearted. He is not far.
🙏 Thank You, Father, for being close to our broken hearts. May we cling to You, trusting in Your love and goodness, as we mourn the loss of a loved one.
