THE VOICE OF FAITH

HABAKKUK 3:16-19

The news was numbing, causing tears and fear to overwhelm her. Life had been going well until it was suddenly interrupted and forever changed without warning.

Tragic events can manifest in various forms, including loss of loved ones, illness, wealth, or livelihood, and can occur at any time.

Prophet Habakkuk experienced fear as Babylon invaded Judah, despite knowing the tragedy was coming. His heart pounded, his lips quivered and his legs trembled as he waited for the invasion (Habakkuk 3:16).

Fear is a valid emotion in the face of tragedy, but it does not have to immobilise us. By understanding the trials we face, we can learn from how God has worked in history. Habakkuk’s fear gave him the courage to move on by praising the Lord.

God’s faithfulness remains constant, allowing us to confidently trust in His strength as He remains unchanged.

🙏 Help us to trust You, Lord, when everything seems to be going wrong. You have always been faithful to us.
