EPHESIANS 4:25-32
John, a friend, advised the newlyweds at their son’s wedding reception. He shared a football coach’s strategy of keeping the losing score on the scoreboard to remind them of their failure. John said that this is a bad marriage strategy. Instead, when your spouse upsets or fails you, turn off the scoreboard and focus on the happiness you have gained.
What great advice! Scripture encourages love and forgiveness, emphasising that love “keeps no record of wrongs” (1 Corinthians 13:5) and that we should forgive one another as God forgave us in Christ (Ephesians 4:32).
God forgives our sins, removing them from sight and mind. We are grateful for His forgiveness. May He grant us grace to extend forgiveness to those around us.
🙏 Lord, help us today to forgive others just as You have so freely forgiven us.
