YOU CANNOT TAKE IT BACK

GALATIANS 5:13-26

A woman parked her car and blocked my way to the fuel pump. I could not wait, so I honked my horn and shouted at her. I felt bad about being impatient and unwilling to wait for her to move. I apologised to God and realised I could have spread kindness and patience instead of harshness. Unfortunately, she was gone, so I could not apologise to her.

The book of Proverbs prompts us to consider how to respond to people who hinder our plans. Some proverbs advise avoiding strife, while others emphasise the importance of honouring others. The heartfelt Proverb 29:11 states that wise individuals bring calm in the end, while foolish individuals give full vent to their anger.

Growing patience and kindness can be challenging, but it is the work of God, the “fruit of the Spirit.” By cooperating with God and relying on Him, we can produce fruit in ourselves.

🙏 Lord, please change us.
