GATES OF PARADISE

JOHN 10:1-9

The bronze doors of the Florence Baptistery in Italy were expertly engraved with scenes from Jesus’ life over the course of several years by Italian artisan Lorenzo Ghiberti (1378–1455). Michelangelo called these bronze reliefs the Gates of Paradise because they were so captivating.

The doors welcome guests with echoes of the gospel narrative as a work of art.

In villages, Jewish shepherds kept their flocks in sheepfolds, which they entered each morning after being recognised by the gatekeepers.

The Saviour, who grants eternal life to those who come to Him in faith, is the key to the gates of paradise. Take part in His salvation’s delight.

🙏🏻 Thank You, Jesus, for being the way to the Father through Your death and resurrection.
