2 CORINTHIANS 5:19-21
Fathers often have dreams of their children growing up, such as playing catch, fishing, witnessing a race, or becoming successful adults. These dreams can be both positive and negative.
I do not know if my father had any unusual dreams before I was born, but as I became older, I found out what he had hoped for.
Jesus might have become crippled if He had not become one with the Father because of the Father’s expectations for Him to die for humanity. Without a doubt, it would overwhelm any of us.
Jesus did what the Father expected. Now our heavenly Father expects something of us, His children. As Paul said, we have a ministry, a word of reconciliation; we are ambassadors saying to the world, “Be reconciled to God.” And, because we are His children, His family, be reconciled to each other.
🙏🏻 Dear Father, help us meet Your expectations, in Jesus name.
