PSALM 34:1-7; ISAIAH 41:13
I made the choice to fly the lengthy distance. I felt just as nervous getting on the plane as I had the first time. In any case, what exactly is holding up the plane?
We should not be terrified by irrational or even justified worries. King Saul, who was envious of David’s popularity with the populace, constantly pursued him, and David lived as a fugitive, terrified of him. Only in his relationship with God did David truly find rest and comfort (Psalm 34:4).
Our heavenly Father is all-knowing and all-loving. When our fear threatens to consume us, we must pause and keep in mind that He is our God and will always hold us up.
