JOHN 19:28-30
In order to talk about faith and the way to God, a group of Christian missionaries in India paid Mahatma Gandhi a visit. Gandhi asked them to sing a hymn from their faith before they left. They asked which one. โThe one that best expresses the heart of what you Christians believe!โ he said. When I Survey the Wondrous Cross was the song they decided on.
They were correct. The Cross is at the center of our faith and the very heart of God Himself.
A biography of David Beckham without a mention of football is comparable to preaching about Christ without the Cross.
On the Cross, God was preparing for the brightest day even through the darkest night.
“It is finished,” Jesus declared on Good Friday (John 19:30). Finished! Accomplished!ย Done!ย Despite the excruciating anguish that we must never minimize, He is in total control.
๐๐ป We are forever grateful for the cross.
