PSALM 139:17-24
I had to visit the doctor again for my yearly checkup. Even though I was in good health, I was aware of the value of routine checkups since they can reveal hidden issues that, if ignored, could develop into significant health problems.
Evidently, spiritually, the psalmist felt that way. He asked God to look for hidden sin (Psalm 139:23–24). He sought God for an exhaustive and unreserved screening.
So, a checkup is necessary even if we are feeling good about ourselves. Only God has access to our true hearts, and He alone is able to forgive, heal, and guide us toward a life of repentance and a fruitful future.
🙏🏻Lord, You know ud better than we know ourselves. Search the deepest parts of our hearts for anything that is displeasing to You.
