Even though they are an essential component of the ecosystem, bats are not one of man’s favourite creations from God, especially when they are flying around the house.
Suffering is another unwanted guest that frequently invades our lives. When difficulties arise, we are prone to panic or give up. But even these trying situations have the potential to be the means by which our benevolent heavenly Father transforms us into people more like Christ. James urged us to be glad when faced with challenges because we can develop patience as a result of having our faith tested (James 1:2–4).
It is not expected of us to take pleasure in suffering or trials. However, when these unwanted guests show up, we can search for God’s hand in them and have faith that He can use them for our good.
