NUMBERS 22:21-31
Did you know that there are more microbes on one of your hands than there are people on the planet? or that a needle’s eye could hold millions of microbes? Despite being too small for humans to detect without a microscope, these one-celled, living organisms can be found in the air, soil, water, and even inside of our bodies. Despite the fact that their world is entirely outside our senses, we regularly engage with them.
As the prophet Balaam discovered, the realities of the spiritual world are frequently invisible to us humans. His donkey noticed the Lord’s Angel blocking the route with His drawn sword in His hand as he and his two servants went along the road (Numbers 22:23). But until God opened his eyes, Balaam was unaware that something supernatural was happening (v. 31).
According to the Bible, there is a spiritual world that we occasionally encounter. These realities can be both good and bad (Hebrews 13:2; Ephesians 6:12). As a result, we are urged to keep an eye open, pray, and be ready. God is in charge of both the visible world and the unseen realm.
🙏🏻Dear Heavenly Father, please give us the strength to rely solely on You and Your might. Please open our eyes to the spiritual truths You have prepared for us.
