PSALM 91
Some children like bragging about their fathers in front of their peers. “My father is stronger than your father!” is the best boast of all. This boast is frequently used in context of a warning that if children attack you, they should be aware that your father can step in and take them all down, including their fathers!
In the face of peril, believing your father is the toughest guy on the block gives you a lot of confidence. This is why I like the notion that our heavenly Father is all-powerful. No one, therefore, can match His strength and power. Even better, it signifies that you and I are protected by the Almighty (Ps. 91:1). So it is no surprise that the psalmist was not afraid.
Irrespective of what today brings or the difficulties we are now facing, remember that our God is greater than anything in our lives. So, have confidence! His all-pervading presence ensures that His power can transform even the worst scenario into something positive.
🙏🏼 In the midst of our troubles, Father God, teach us to embrace the fact that You are all-powerful.
