PSALM 18:1-6
Climb 257 steps within the great dome of St Paul’s Cathedral in London, and you will find yourself at perhaps the greatest ‘accidental’ man-made tourist attraction in London, if not the world – The Whispering Gallery.
There you can whisper and be heard by someone anywhere along the circular walkway, even across the enormous abyss nearly one hundred feet away. Engineers explain this anomaly as a result of the spherical shape of the dome and the low intensity sound waves of a whisper.
Just imagine how many sweet nothings, political secrets, etc., that curving wall has heard over the past three centuries.
From His very own “whispering gallery” in the dome of the heavens above the earth, God hears our whispers. The Psalms are filled with testimonies that He hears us – our cries, prayers, and whispers.
Heavenly Father, as we whisper to You today, we know You are listening. Please use us for Your purpose. Help us remember that You always hear us when we pray. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
