ECCLESIASTES 7:14
A story was once told of a man who lost his very good horse. His neighbour visited him, expressing sorrow for his loss, but he said, “Who knows if it may be a good thing for me?” To his amazement, the horse returned home with another horse and the same neighbour came to congratulate him and he responded, “Who knows if it may be a bad thing for me?” It so happened that his son rode on the new horse, fell down and broke his leg. This seemed like a misfortune until the army arrived his village to carry all able bodied young men to fight at the warfront. His son was not taken because he had a bad leg. This probably spared his son from death at the battle ground.
A challenge or difficulty can be a blessing in disguise.
Each day offers us new opportunities, problems, joys, etc. As children of God, we can rest in His sovereignty and trust Him through the good and bad times. He will work things out for our good.
