JAMES 4:6-10
Humility is the quality of having a modest or low view of one’s importance. It is a heart position before the Lord and conveyed in how we conduct our daily lives.
Humility is one of the most sought-after virtues in the Bible, but possibly the least attained. We know it when we see it. If we try to pursue it, we may distance ourselves from it. God has to help the process. If we try to get it through self-effort, we may end up with pride.
When we feel like we are closest to achieving humility, we are farthest from possessing it. When we realize how far we have to go to acquire it, we are actually closer to having it.
Lord Jesus, we welcome You to mold and secure our hearts in true humility. Amen.
