JOSHUA 14:12.
We may not end up becoming what we think we are or what we believe others think about us, because neither one of them may be true. Only what God says about us is true. Caleb believed he would drive out the giants, “as the Lord said.” (v.12)
Has God promised us something? Are we getting older or is there an immovable object in our way? Over and over God told His people that He was giving them the land, now go in and fight for it. We like to think about receiving the land, but not so much about having to fight for it. In taking our inheritance, the battle is between faith and unbelief and the battleground is mainly in our minds. If God has spoken, we need to take the inheritance that God is giving us, and put to death unbelief. If the Lord is with us, we cannot fail.
“We are able to go up
And take the country
And possess the land
From Jordan to the sea
Though the giants may be there
Our way to hinder
Our God has given us a victory….”
