JOHN 20:24–29; HEBREWS 10:23
When their son was battling heroin addiction, Frank would not have believed it if you told him that God would use their story to inspire other families facing similar struggles in the future. It is not always easy to recognise while you are going through unpleasant situations, but God has a way of working wonderful things out of them.
Apostle Thomas didn’t expect God to bring good out of Jesus’s crucifixion. He was deeply griefd and insisted that he wouldn’t believe until he saw the nail marks in his hands. However, when Jesus appeared to all the disciples, God’s Spirit inspired a bold statement of faith. Thomas exclaimed, “My Lord and my God!” (John 20:28), recognizing Jesus as God in the flesh. This bold confession of faith would inspire believers in every century that followed, encouraging them to believe in Jesus.
Even when we least expect it, our God has the power to awaken new trust in our hearts. He is always trustworthy, therefore we have nothing to fear. For Him, nothing is too difficult!
🎵: Let all the world in every corner sing,
my God and King!
The heavens are not too high,
his praise may thither fly,
the earth is not too low,
his praises there may grow.
Let all the world in every corner sing,
my God and King!
