When the oppressive heat of the dry season gets us down, we can be sure that the rainy season is coming. All of our struggles and trials seem small when compared to the glory of our future as God’s children. ROMANS 8:23.

Churches are filled with people who are content to warm themselves by the fire of God’s glory. Let the fire move us, not warm us! JEREMIAH 20:9.

Our actions can still reflect those of humble servants. As we serve others around us, hearts will be pointed in God’s direction, and lives will be changed. JOHN 13:4-5.

Many Christians today think we need to copy the world to reach it. But it’s the opposite: copy God’s Word and He will reach the world. PSALM 119:89.

How do we respond when our world is at its darkest and there seems to be no way of escape? Or when the future holds no promise and there seems to be no hope? Remember, joy is on the way! PSALM 30:5.

Our prayers will be a sacrifice, especially when they are prayed according to the will of God rather than our own will. REV. 5:8.

None of us would think of throwing a drowning man a book of instructions on how to swim. We would save him first! Rather than condemn the sinner, tenderly help him/her out of sin. LUKE 5:27-32.

We need to recognize everywhere we go is our mission field. “All nations” includes across the street and across the sea. MATTHEW 28:19-20.  Welcome to February!

Joy is not dependent on circumstances. It “comes from having your priorities straight: Jesus, Others, then You (J.O.Y.).” NEHEMIAH 8:10.

When discouragement stares at us from the mirror of life, let us place our hearts at the foot of the cross. That is where love brings us in, holds us tightly, and carries us. ROMANS 5:8.
