With all the talk going on about spiritual warfare, Christians still have not learned how to stand up to the devil. Every misfortune that befalls us is not from the enemy. We wrongly blame Satan for a lot of our own carelessness, disobedience, and laziness (spiritual and physical).
Satan cannot attack us at will. God has put a wall of fire around us, and the devil cannot go beyond that wall without His permission. And when permitted, we only need to stand firm and live right by God’s grace which is abundantly available.
Scripture commands us to stand up, be strong, and do battle not only against the devil, but also our flesh. Did I just say our flesh? Yes! That is one place where the battle line is drawn, fought and won.
