1 KINGS 8:12–21
A farmer may choose a particular seed because he sees its potential to produce a fruitful harvest. In the same way, God chose David to lead Israel, demonstrating that His choices serve His divine purpose.
In our passage, Solomon recalls how God chose David to rule His people and his son Solomon to build the Temple. This reminds us that God’s plans unfold according to His wisdom and purpose.
We must not allow the desire for power or position to control us. Instead, let us remain humble, seek God’s guidance and respect His will in our homes and churches. True leadership is a responsibility to serve, not an opportunity for self-glorification.
🙏 May the Lord guide you in His wisdom, establish you in His purpose, and make you a faithful servant. May His will be fulfilled in your life, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
