1 KINGS 2:10–18
Imagine being offered a place at a table, yet spending the meal worrying about someone else’s chair. You would miss the joy of your own place. Life can be like that when we compare ourselves with others. Contentment begins when we trust God’s appointment.
In 1 Kings 2:10–18, Solomon sits on David’s throne and his kingdom becomes established. Adonijah, however, still longs for what he believes should have been his.
Let us stop competing for positions God has not given us. Instead, we should faithfully serve where He has placed us, trusting His wisdom and timing. What God appoints does not require our manipulation.
🙏 May God grant you grace to trust His timing, embrace your calling, and walk faithfully in His purposes each day.
