WHAT WILL YOU PASS ON?

1 KINGS 2:1–9; PSALM 78:5–7

A relay runner does not keep the baton; he carries it faithfully and hands it to the next runner. In the same way, our faith is a baton we must faithfully pass to those who come after us.

In 1 Kings 2:1–9, David’s final counsel to Solomon was to be strong and obey God’s commands. Psalm 78:5–7 echoes this responsibility, calling each generation to teach God’s laws to the next, so they may remember His works and put their confidence in Him. David understood that Solomon needed more than a throne; he needed a godly foundation.

We should therefore ask what legacy our lives are creating. Our children and younger believers need more than material provision; they need examples of obedience, faith and trust in God. Let us live today in a way that strengthens tomorrow’s generation.

🙏 May the Lord strengthen your faith, guide your steps, and make your life a blessing to generations.
