GALATIANS 6:11–18
An African proverb says, “He who follows the old path may never discover a new village.” In many communities, travellers who refused to leave familiar routes often missed better opportunities ahead. Likewise, following Christ requires turning away from old ways to embrace the new life He offers through the cross.
In Galatians 6:11–18, Paul declares that his only boast is in the cross of Christ. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, believers become new creations. The power of the flesh is broken, and a life led by the Holy Spirit becomes possible.
Many Christians struggle because they rely on personal effort rather than Christ’s victory. The cross calls us to leave behind sinful desires and worldly values. As we trust in Christ daily, His grace empowers us to live in true freedom.
