WHEN GOD’S WORD HITS DIFFERENT
LUKE 24:28–35
A student once scrolled endlessly through social media late at night, feeling empty despite all the entertainment. Out of boredom, he opened his Bible app and read a few verses he had seen many times before. Suddenly, one line stood out and felt deeply personal, almost as if it was written just for him. It challenged his choices and gave him a strange sense of peace at the same time. In that quiet moment, he realised that God was reaching out to him, and his heart felt alive in a way no screen had ever made him feel.
In Luke 24:28–35, the disciples did not recognise Jesus at first as He walked with them. But as He explained the Scriptures, something changed inside them—they later said their hearts burned within them. It was not just information; it was transformation. God’s Word has the power to speak directly into our lives, cutting through confusion and revealing truth in a way that feels real and personal.
It is easy to get distracted and treat the Bible like just another book. But when you slow down and really engage with it, God speaks. Do not ignore that inner nudge when something from the Bible hits your heart. Take it seriously, act on it, and let it guide your decisions daily.
