MATTHEW 17:2
A nurse once told of sitting with a very ill patient who had not spoken in days. As dawn broke and sunlight filled the room, he whispered, “It is beautiful.” She believed the light had carried peace into his soul.
On the mountaintop, during the Transfiguration, Jesus shone like the sun — His glory breaking through the ordinary. That brightness came before the shadows of Gethsemane and the cross.
Like Elijah in the wilderness (1 Kings 19:1–7), many today are worn thin, hiding behind strong exteriors.
But the Transfiguration reminds us: God’s light still reaches us — even in the fog.
🙏 When the way is dim, may the Lord Jesus break through with His light and remind you that you are not alone. Amen.
